OSI Model
Topics covered
Binary, Sub-netting
We have been covering sub-netting for a few classes so the students have a firm grasp on the topic, as it can be difficult to understand.
OSI model
The OSI model is a great tool to use when troubleshooting problems, you can slowly make your way through the different layers to identify issues occurring
Typically most issues occur in the physical and data-link layer, another issue which is not included in the OSI model is human error.
In my experience with troubleshooting it has been these specific layers which issues occur. Cables have not been plugged in correctly (wrong ports, not plugged into the socket correctly)
